We like the look of the white sliders. They also make it easier to see how much has been dispensed in a dark room. I have been using Liquid Silk for a long time, which is white, very durable, hybrid-based and in a pump bottle. However, Liquid Silk is quite expensive, so we tried to see if there could be a cheaper alternative to it. It is much more difficult to dose from a tube with a cap like this than from our preferred pump bottle: it is difficult to figure out how much you want to dose with just the force of compression, the substance easily pours out too much, it is not so easy to get the substance out of the tube very precisely where you want it, handling the tube with hands that may already be close is impractical, and tube caps are not stay cool ever. At some point, an extra substance always starts to accumulate on the inside of the caps, which didn't fall out but didn't go back into the tube either. That is, it gradually becomes messy in the same way as with a bottle of ketchup. Since the tube is black, it is also difficult to understand how much substance is left. In appearance, the substance is what you expect, i.e. a white cream. Compared to Liquid Silk, it is perhaps a little thicker and therefore not spread quite as accurately. We also felt that this has to be added significantly more often in the middle of playing, so despite the cheaper selling price, it will not end up being cheaper than Liquid Silk. This is a really good substance that you should try if you're interested, but for us it didn't become a replacement for the familiar standard slider because it dries too quickly.
